The War Zone

Today is the day, for me go to war. I met up with Commander Karl at 1000hours. He immediately dragged me into a safe place because there is an ongoing war nearby.

He then passed me a mask to wear, and we immediately jump into the battlefield. In just less than 15 mins time - OMG!!! Commander Karl was shot at his leg. Fortunately, the shot does not cost him his life. He kept fighting, without fear. He's one of the bravest soldier that I ever met. I am very proud to fight by his side.

The war still goes on... people are shooting each other without mercy. I saw a lot of people has sacrificed themselves for their King and Country. Perhaps this is what people called patriotism.

There is once that I almost got shot on my head. Luckily I got my head lowered enough for the enemy to missed. We kept fighting with our weapons and dodging bullets, hoping to see our friends and family once more.

Few hours has passed, exhaustion and hunger overtook our physical and mental coordination but we determined to keep fighting until the end of the war.

Finally, after two hours, the war has ended for us. We were called to retreat from the battlefield to replenished ourselves.

I shot a few brave men on the day itself and they shall not be forgotten.

Anticipation, Dissapointment & Miracles

Carol a.k.a. Cheryl, - a gal that I've kept my eyes on since last year. I met her in www.miricommunity.net, when she pmed me on May 26, 2008 1:18 pm asking if I'm a photographer. I told her I'm just started off photograhy. She replied "...means haven't graduate lar... LOL !!"

I found her to be very photogenic from her avatar pictures, however I do not dare to approached her for a photoshoot, because I've yet to have any portfolio to show to her, until I found out she's interested in doing photoshoot for her 21st birthday (If I'm not mistaken). Then, Thu Oct 09, 2008 2:22 pm, the the day I pmed her asking if she would like to do a photoshoot with us, and gladly she agreed. However, the process of having a photoshoot does not come without constraints. Having to work away from Miri makes me hard to find an opening to do a shoot with her. I've even missed out a shoot organised by my buddy, Terrick in December.

Then I've been very idle in photography until March 2009, when I was offshore in Africa. I logged into my MSN and we started talking about photography, and Carol did once again mention about having a photoshoot together. From there onwards, I've been planning and thinking and discussing with Carol and others about the photoshooting session and we've set a date that falls on 25th April 09. It has been one of the greatest anticipation that I had throughout the year. It is a time for me to prove that I'm not rusty after being idle for 4 months!!! Well, as what they always said: The higher you climbed, the harder you'll fall. That's what happened to me when my greatest fear struck me - she can't make it to the shoot! A clear sunny day suddenly became rainny day. I was very disappointed with the news that I received from a SMS.

BUT it happened to me on the day itself that miracles appear in my life. She called me, telling me that she has done with her things, and she is ready to ROCK N' ROLL! We quickly gather, and proceed with our shooting as per planned. Although we started late, but it was a very successful photoshoot, thanks to a collective effort by all people.

To me, she is not only a great gal, but she is also a superb model!
